Meet Zahabiyah Gabajiwala

An artist extraordinaire who transforms mundane surfaces into chronicles of art, Zahabiyah has been painting, designing, and creating art since she was a child. Remember how as kids we’d scribble on walls and get timeouts for it? Well, Zahabiyah took her childhood mischief and made a career out of it! From drawing on walls to scribbling in notebooks (much to her parents disapproval!), she never gave up on her love for all things quirky, fun and bold. She went to Rachana Sansad School of Design where she refined her skills further and is now the founder and Principal Artist at ZA Works, a creative design studio. She has previously worked in the media industry, designing props and furniture and creating stunning visuals for Dharma Productions, advertising production houses and stunning branding and packaging for brands. But she isn’t just an artist; she’s also a traveller and a teacher. She has taught art in schools and personally groomed and employed two young street children to design and paint. In 2016, she founded Za Works. Her work has been published and accoladed in many national and international media portals, and she continues to create unique art that evokes joy and conveys a story. Her passion for art and design is unmissable, and her drive to create something out of the box and fresh is what makes her the creative powerhouse she is today. Whether it is wall mural art, an art installation or a branding project, Zahabiyah is your go-to person for it all!

Established by artist Zahabiya Gabajiwala in 2016, ZA Works is a creative design studio that creates visual spaces and breathes life into surfaces for restaurants, cafes, residences, offices, and more. We are all about the personal touch – passionate about bringing physical manifestations of art to life through paint, wall murals, art installation, and custom wallpapers. Our mission is to create unique wall art that speaks to our clients’ stories and expressions.

We believe in growing together and creating a mutual love for all things creative. We collaborate with peers from the interior design and architecture fraternity, as well as with students in order to nurture their creative talents. We have had the privilege of working with prominent clients – Richa Bahl, Universal Studio, Talati and Panthaky, John Abraham Architects, Baldiwala Edge, Saniya Kantawala Design, Minnie Bhatt Designs, Tiger Shroff and Kapil Sharma, Chumbak , La Loca maria. We have been published and awarded in various national and international media portals, such as Architectural Digest, Interior Design homes, Living etc, Design Trends, Design Pataki, Home and design trends, Design Dekko, Better Interiors, DNA News, Architects & Interiors India, and more.

Fatema Shakir

The backbone of Za Works, Fatema is our residential super woman. Her unlimited zeal, attention to detail and never say die attitude makes it impossible for Za works to function without her!

Henisha Suru

Young, enthusiastic and brimming with ideas, henisha is our in-house junior powerhouse designer. Without her our office, and our instagram page!, would be incomplete.

Tanmay Panchal

The multitasker. He is an enthusiastic and creative mural artists and designer who loves to explore different art forms, materials, concepts and techniques. He always brings a fresh perspective to the table, making him an integral part of the Za works family.

Shubham Jadhav

An incredibly talented mural artists and designer, he has a deep understanding of colour theory and is able to create the perfect hue for any project. His attention to detail and skill for creating custom colours make him a true colour connoisseur.
